TV, Entertainment & Streaming at Our Gîtes
We know that a cosy evening in can be just as important as a day of exploring. That’s why all our gîtes are equipped with modern entertainment options designed to make you feel at home.
What’s Available in Your Gîte
Flat-Screen TVs – Perfect for enjoying films, series, or catching up on the news.
HDMI Access – Easily connect your own laptop, games console, or streaming stick.
High-Speed WiFi – Strong enough for streaming and video calls.
Our holiday gîtes are equipped with UK Freesat channels and also a limited selection of French channels.
Streaming Made Simple
Guests are welcome to log into their own accounts on services like Netflix, Prime Video, or Disney+. Each TV makes it easy to switch between standard TV and your streaming device.
Bringing Your Own Device
If you prefer, bring along your own Amazon Fire Stick, Apple TV, Chromecast, or similar device. Just plug it into the HDMI socket and connect to our WiFi.
Things to Know About Streaming Abroad
Some streaming services (e.g. Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime) automatically adjust their libraries depending on the country you’re in. That means you’ll see the French catalogue rather than the one at home.
Certain apps may restrict content or behave differently when you’re outside your home country. This is normal and due to licensing rules.
To make life easier, check that your apps and logins are up to date before you travel.
With Netflix – Be prepared !
Before you travel, from the main place you watch Netflix, connect to the internet, open the Netflix app from a mobile device or go to Netflix.com from a computer once a month, and stream a TV show or movie for a few seconds to establish a connection.
Then take the same steps when you arrive at your holiday location to continue watching Netflix without interruption.
Top Tips for Smooth Streaming
Download Before You Go – If there’s something specific you want to watch, consider downloading it to your device in advance.
Check Your Login Details – Make sure you know your usernames and passwords before travelling.
Switch to your prefered language – Most apps let you adjust audio and subtitles to your preferred language, even if you’re seeing the French catalogue.
