Prepare for Travel: Ensure your pet is comfortable during travel. Bring essentials such as water, food, a leash, bowls and waste bags. Make sure your pet’s travel documents and identification is up to date.
Pets in Cars: French law dictates that your dog must be restrained by a harness, cage or net and be on the back seat or in the boot of the car. Your pet must not be able to interfere with the driver while driving or in the case of an accident, driving with a dog on the loose in the back will get you stopped by the police, an instant fine and penalty points.
